Spaces to Take a Break
Calm Cave Meditation Space
Geisel Room 621
The Calm Cave Meditation Space (Room 621) offers a brief retreat from studying where students can relax, breathe deeply, clear their mind, and peruse a variety of mindfulness and wellness books.



Leisure Lounge Art/Game Room
Geisel 1st Floor West
Drop in to play board or card games, color, do origami, or de-stress with printable puzzles. This space features colorful furniture that can be reconfigured to suit the game or creative activity you are doing!



In-Person Student Activities
Discover all events in the News & Events Center. Join the us for de-stress activities throughout the academic quarter. Below are some activities to look forward to!
De-Stress with Pups
Join us in Classroom 1 on Geisel Library's main floor from 2:30pm-4:00pm on Weeks 1, 5, and 10 to relax with therapy dogs! These events are in partnership with Love on a Leash. No registration needed.
Yoga at the Library
Join UCSD Recreation instructor, Teresa, for a refreshing, all-levels yoga class on forum level of Geisel Library during Weeks 1-10. Classes are free for students. Staff with a Recreation membership may also register. Registration is required prior to each class. Please bring your own yoga mat and a light jacket.
Finals De-Stress Activities
Arts, crafts, and building activities to help you de-stress during finals week. The activities are located in front of Classroom 1 (Geisel Library, Main Floor) from 2-3:30 p.m. Supplies and light refreshments will be available on a first come, first served basis.

De-Stress LibGuide
Virtual de-stress resources available from the Library and on-campus. Printable coloring pages, a virtual jigsaw puzzle of the library, recipes, and much more can be found at https://ucsd.libguides.com/de-stress.
De-Stress Amenities
WalkStations
Keep active while you study in the Library. One WalkStation in Geisel's 1st Floor West) features low-speed treadmills with adjustable-height work surfaces. Bookstands and wrist supports are available for checkout at Geisel’s Service Hub.
Stretching
Foam rollers are available in Geisel's East Commons (2nd Floor) and Brody Collaborative Space (1st Floor West) for stretching, and WongAvery Library (Floor 1 South Stairs) for stretching and desk exercises. Puzzles and Coloring Pages
Shared jigsaw puzzles are available in Geisel's West Commons (2nd Floor), Brody Collaborative Space (1st Floor West), and WongAvery Library (2nd Floor), and are rotated regularly. A shared chess board is positioned near the windows in Geisel's East Commons.
Printed coloring pages, puzzles, and mazes are available in the Leisure Lounge in Geisel 1st Floor West (near the charging lockers). Coloring pages and a Color & Share board are located in Geisel 2 East (near the restrooms) or at WongAvery 2nd Floor. Borrow a Coloring supply kit from the Geisel and WongAvery Service Hubs.
