The meeting was devoted to a discussion of the proposed revision


in the way Non Senate Academic salaries are handled.  As part of


the proposal to give priority to restoring faculty salaries,


President Peltason recommended giving Non Senate Academics the


same salary increase as staff rather than the same as faculty.





E. Kanter reviewed what other LAUC Divisions are doing concerning


this issue.  It was decided that he would meet with G. Lowell to


discuss actions by LAUC-SD, including possibly approaching the


Academic Senate Library Committee for support and would plan to


write a letter to the Chancellor expressing our concerns.
