Description | The unit is localized on the central part of the highest platform and it is characterized by a brownish-grey colour. We found a lot of inclusions of charcoal and tiny fragments of plaster. In the fill there were a lot of bones concentrated in the south-east corner, exactly where we found the skeleton (19887). We also found some little rings made of shell and probably belong to an infant burial and maybe connected to a burial gift. This unit could be interpreted as a burial fill and it is cut by a retrieval pit localized in the northwest part (u 19880). 28/07/13 The unit 19880 is a burial cut! The unit was excavated by leaf trowel and the human remains team kit. |
