Wall -- Early structure under L173 (southern "bench") -- Stone built wall placed above natural soil paallel to the southern inner perimeter wall of the central passageway, below "bench" or "shelf" L173. Onl part of the wall exposed due to later elements limits of excavation. -- Represent earliest cnstruction in the gate structure complex. Relation to the gatehouse itself undetermined.
