Stephen Victor Kraus grew up in interwar Warsaw in a wealthy and assimilated Jewish family. As the German tanks rolled in, his family fled. After an extended odyssey through Romania, Turkey, and Yugoslavia, they reached Palestine and safety. Kraus shares his memories of his life in Warsaw and Jerusalem, and about his dramatic escape from Poland.
