The Earl Warren College Office of the Provost records document educational programs, curricula, awards, and events. This includes correspondence, program descriptions and reviews, reports, general advising materials, and speeches. Earl Warren College, formerly Fourth College, was founded in 1974. In 1977, Fourth College was officially renamed after the three-term Governor of California and former Chief-Justice Earl Warren (1891-1974). As part of UC San Diego’s college system, Warren College is dedicated to cultivating ethically responsible citizens and encourages students to explore the relationships between ethics, society, and the law.
Provosts include: M. Lea Rudee (1974-1982), Michael Addison (1982-1985), David Wong (1986-1994), David K. Jordan (1994-2004), Steven Adler (2004-2016), Emily Roxworthy (2016-2020), and Marisa Abrajano (2020-current). - Creation Date
