About Geisel Service Hub

Located right by the entrance to Geisel Library, the Service Hub is packed with resources. Computers, printers, and self-service scanners are all available for quick use. If you’re in need of equipment, check out chargers, headphones, adapters, and more through our Tech Lending Program.

The Service Hub is also home to the BorrowBot, a self-service kiosk where you can check out DVDs and Blu-rays for up to 10 days using your UC San Diego campus ID. Physical media fans will feel right at home at the dedicated playback stations, where you can watch a Blu-ray, DVD, or VHS tape, or put on a vinyl record on the turntables for a private listening session.

Looking to save money on textbooks? Physical course reserves are kept right here at the Service Hub, available for in-room use at no cost. Materials must remain within the course reserves room while in use.

The Service Hub features three reservable study rooms. Two rooms seat up to 4 people and are equipped with digital display monitors. The third, Service Hub Room 1, is an open-style room without a door or digital display. You can reserve the Service Hub Rooms up to 24 hours in advance.

Geisel's general study area provides access to public computers (PCs and Macs) as well as two SSO computers, which are currently designated for microform viewing. All users must follow Library computer policies.
