Description: These papers of phycologist Ralph Arnold Lewin consist of
four series. The first and largest series is subject files dated 1952-2004.
This series includes research notes and correspondence, publications,
files about grants, and UCSD/SIO committee and other files including
Lewin’s Bio-Bibliography file. The material in this series is poorly
arranged. The accession includes a box of Lewin’s address index card
file. The third series consists of notebooks with photographs and slides
of Prochloron and Lissoclinum patella. Finally there are two notebooks
labeled Prochloron Articles that include correspondence about
publications. Also included is a copy of a guest log from Lewin's home.
