95-19 DESCRIPTION (boxes 1-9): The accession includes papers of neurobiologist Walter F.
Heiligenberg. The papers include correspondence, research reports, audio tape recordings of
experiments, photographs, figures for papers, teaching records including lecture notes, reading
lists and syllabi, appointment calendars, manuscripts of publications, one field notebook and
other material documenting the scientific career of Walter F. Heiligenberg. While the collection
includes material dated 1960-1994, the accession largely documents Heiligenberg's career as a
neurobiologist at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography from 1972-1994.
96-12 DESCRIPTION (boxes 10-11): The accession includes slides, data, manuscripts of
scientific papers, illustrations for scientific papers, of Scripps Institution of Oceanography
behavioral and neurobiologist Walter F. Heiligenberg.
Oversized items from both accessions were taken out of the collection and moved to map cases.
