Description: Accession consists of the papers of Edward Davidow  
Goldberg, oceanographer and marine chemist at Scripps Institution of  
Oceanography. The accession includes Goldberg’s student notebooks  
for courses at the University of Chicago, 1946-1947, an incomplete  
series of manuscripts of scientific papers, subject files, and other  
material. The accession includes some documentation of the muscle  
watch program, files including photographs documenting scientific  
conferences, teaching files including curriculum, lectures and other  
material documenting SIO 250, Coastal Marine Chemistry in 1988.  
There are files documenting Goldberg’s work on San Diego Bay sewage  
issues dated 1996-2000. There are files documenting some committees  
on which Goldberg served, and files documenting some of the honors he  
received, including the Tyler Prize.
