Description: The accession consists of over two thousand color 35mm

slides taken by Nancy Ferguson during scuba dives around the world

over a period of thirty years beginning in the 1970’s. The slides largely

document marine life and marine environments in the Hawai,

Micronesian and Melanesia islands, Caribbean islands, Gulf of

California, Philippines, and Southeast Asia (locations noted in her

book). Some are numbered and labeled, but the location is rarely

recorded, and only a few of the slides are dated. Some of these images

were published in Ms. Ferguson’s book Bright Waters (Ventura, CA:

Eagle Ray Pub., c2002).
