San Miguel de Comondú. 1955. "A more compact and modern-looking town than its neighbor San José, but in fact an even older settlement, San Miguel was developed in 1714 by Padre Juan de Ugarte as a visiting station, cattle ranch, and garden of San Javier mission.

Purísima Canyon. 1957.

San Isidro. 1953 & 1957. "A pleasant little farming community on the edge of a bluff overlooking the river. It is a new town which came into being in the 1930's as a result of a Government irrigation project."

La Purísima. 1956. "The town is on the left bank of the arroyo, opposite a dam. Just above the dam are the ruins of the mission of La Purísima Concepción de Cadegomo, an unrecognizable mound of adobe."
