With slower foot traffic during the summer months, the Library is taking advantage of this period to work on some maintenance projects in Geisel Library. All projects will be completed before the start of Fall Quarter. Maintenance work begins Sunday, June 16 and continues through Friday, July 19.
Access to floors 4-8 this summer will be impacted during construction. Please see below for specific closure details:
The following floors will close at 6 p.m. on the corresponding dates:
- 4th Floor – June 16
- 5th Floor – June 17-18
- 6th Floor – June 19, 23, 24
- 7th Floor – June 25-26
- The 8th Floor will be closed from Monday, June 17 through Sunday, July 7.
Additionally, there will be some climate control impacts to floors 4-7 from 7:30-11a.m. on June 27-July 5.
During this time, floors 1 and 2 will be unaffected and remain open. Additionally, the Biomedical Library Building will remain open on its regular intersession schedule during this period.
