Thanks for joining us for Love Data Week! We hope you enjoyed learning more about the data resources available through the Library.
The Research Data Curation program at UC San Diego Library works with UC San Diego researchers to share and preserve their data in the Library’s Digital Collections, a curated repository for sharing and preserving campus research data and cultural heritage materials.
Research data in the digital collections comes from a wide range of disciplines and domains. Examples include:
- Educational Dataset Service Collection. Curated datasets appropriate for use in machine learning in instruction and research, including real research datasets, sanitized and synthetic administrative data from campus sources and datasets commonly used for training in specific disciplines.
- Shore Stations Program Data Archive. Data from the Shore Stations Program consists of current and historical daily, manual measurements of surface temperature and salinity from the nine active stations located on the California coastline (1916 – present).
- The Catalyst at UC San Diego. The Catalyst, founded summer of 2021, is an inclusive, open access paper series under the Undergraduate Research Hub at UCSD which aims to empower the voices of students who have a passion for conducting research. This ongoing collection includes data associated with papers from The Catalyst.
