Winona LaDuke: Resource Fair, Author Talk and Book Signing

Join the Circuit Libraries for this special Native American Heritage Month author event featuring Winona LaDuke, Harvard-educated economist, thought leader and lecturer in climate justice, renewable energy, and environmental justice. LaDuke will discuss various concepts for making our economy more sustainable, improving our agricultural practices and creating a multicultural democracy. Registration is required.

Sustainability Resource Fair: 5 – 6 p.m.

Author Talk: 6 – 7 p.m.

Book Signing: 7 – 8 p.m.

LaDuke is the co-chair of the Indigenous Women’s Network, an advocate for protecting Indigenous plants and heritage foods from patenting and genetic engineering, and she has written extensively on environmental issues.

The resource fair will include tables, information, and swag from our sustainability partners, including the Solana Center, SANDAG, City of San Diego Community Emergency Response Team, City of San Diego Environmental Services, and San Diego County Sustainability & Environmental Services.
