In anticipation of the upcoming Trolley stations that will soon service UC San Diego, Geisel Library is featuring an exhibit about the history of transportation planning in San Diego, as well as collectable memorabilia from recent Trolley station openings.
Original government documents outlining decades of transportation planning is featured in this display, along with a sampling of delightful souvenirs and swag featured at recent Trolley stop openings. Librarians Harold Colson and Deborah Kegel, together with Exhibits Coordinator Scott Paulson, curated this colorful exhibit in anticipation of the upcoming opening of the UC San Diego Blue Line light rail extension. The exhibit will be displayed in three exhibit cases and a small wall display near the Reference stacks at Geisel West, 1st floor from October 1 through December 12, 2021.
