Celebrate Preservation Week with a guided tour of the Preservation Lab and Digital Reformatting Lab in Geisel Library!
This tour provides an opportunity to view and learn more about some of the behind-the-scenes work that occurs across programs to support the preservation of physical materials at our library.
The tour will depart from Geisel Library’s Meet Spot (located on the main floor just past the entrance) at 1 p.m.
The tour is free and open to the public. Registration is required. Space is extremely limited (the tour is capped at 10 attendees) and available on a first-come, first-served basis. No food or drinks will be allowed on the tour.
About Preservation Week
Preservation Week inspires action to preserve personal, family, and community collections in addition to library, museum, and archive collections. Focusing on preservation for a designated week every year raises awareness of the role libraries and other cultural institutions play in providing ongoing preservation education and information.
