Folded Wonders: The Craft Behind the Making of Origami

When
Apr 8, 2019–May 31, 2019
All Day

Explore the diverse styles and techniques of origami — the ancient practice of paper folding — and learn about its applications in math and engineering during an exhibit in Geisel West, 1st Floor (near the Media Desk) in partnership with the Origami Folders at UC San Diego. Guests will also try their hands at creating their own origami in the exhibit’s hands-on activity on Wednesday, May 1 with assistance from the club members.

The Origami Folders is a student organization whose mission is to provide a venue for origami enthusiasts to fold and share their passion with others. They hold weekly folding meetings during the academic quarters and set up folding tables to introduce the campus community to the Japanese art of origami.
