The UC San Diego Department of Literature’s New Writing Series returns this fall with a number of events taking place in Geisel Library’s Seuss Room!

Dr. Craig Santos Perez is a native Chamorro from the Pacific Island of Guam. He is the author of four poetry collections and the co-editor of five anthologies. He earned an MFA from the University of San Francisco and a Ph.D. in Ethnic Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. He has received a Poetry Society of America Literary Prize, American Book Award, Lannan Foundation Literary Fellowship, Ford Foundation Fellowship, and Hawaiʻi Literary Arts Council Award. He teaches environmental poetry, food writing, and Pacific Islander literature in the English department at the University of Hawaiʻi, Manoa.
