In honor of National Poetry Month, the UC San Diego Library features a month-long exhibit showcasing short poems from the world of medicine and science, as well as displaying general poetry books found in our circulating collection. The exhibit will be on display throughout the month of April in the Biomedical Library Building Breezeway.
National Poetry Month was inaugurated by the Academy of American Poets in 1996. Over the years, it has become the largest literary celebration in the world with schools, publishers, libraries, booksellers and poets celebrating poetry’s vital place in our culture.
We hope our National Poetry Month’s exhibit will inspire you to keep celebrating poetry all year long!
