In this workshop, you will learn about the tools for gathering citation-based and alternative metrics, along with their advantages and limitations; how to incorporate them into the story you want to tell about your research impact for promotion and tenure, grant and visa applications, and more; and some ways you can increase your visibility as a scholar. We will cover impact metrics for a variety of research and scholarly works, from journal articles and books to data sets. This workshop is open to all UC San Diego faculty, staff, and students.
