This interdisciplinary event will explore themes related to human displacement and efforts for remediation and reparation that bring into dialogue filmmakers, scholars, activists, policy analysts and journalists engaged with the cascading concerns of human and ecological insecurity in the face of climate change. The intersecting themes of this symposium are critical to present to anticipate and prepare for future challenges and opportunities that are increasingly pressing locally, regionally, and globally.

- 3 p.m. | Keynote Address: “Towards Climate Justice: Displacement and Resilience in the Colonial-Capitalist Present” with Hossein Ayazi, Ph.D. (Global Justice Program at the Othering & Belonging Institute, UC Berkeley)
