UC San Diego Library continues the celebration of the 6th annual World Bookmark Day, orchestrated by the International Friends of Bookmarks. An assortment of unique bookmarks of varying shapes and sizes are on display in Geisel Library during the month of March. Also known as “quitter strips,” bookmarks have been a functional companion of books for more than 2,000 years.
This year’s exhibit features special bookmarks dedicated to celebrating Women’s History Month as well as 17 award-winning bookmarks handmade by students from The Preuss School UC San Diego.
