Expanded Individual Study Space Available at Biomedical Library Building

In response to the most recent Return to Learn communications, the Biomedical Library Building (BLB) is now open for individual study without a reservation during designated hours for currently-enrolled, UC San Diego students, faculty and staff. Capacity has been expanded to 150 users, and seats are available on both floors of BLB, including Mac and PC computer workstations.

The quiet study space is intended for individual study. It does not offer group or collaborative work spaces, group study rooms, access to collections or library services. See the Library’s COVID-19 Services page for more information on current Library services.

Upon arrival at BLB, be prepared to show Library staff your valid UC San Diego ID card (physical or on the UC San Diego app) and your daily campus health screening results. To view the current occupancy level at BLB, check the Waitz app.

Additional details can be found on the Library’s Study Space page. If you have any questions, please contact the Spaces, Lending and Access team at LearningSpaces@ucsd.edu.
