Artist Susan Due Pearcy offers 16 farmworker movement art pieces for sale - 50% of proceeds to support the work of the Farmworker Movement Documentation Project. All prints are hand-printed originals, numbered, and signed by the artist and printed on archival rice paper with 2 to 3" margins. All images are printed in black ink. Susan Pearcy came to work at La Paz, California, the United Farm
Workers headquarters in April, 1972 with her husband, Glen and 2 year
old son Noah. Susan, an artist, began to create linocuts, woodcuts and
drawings for the “El Malcriado”, the official newspaper of the UFW.
She also contributed to a number of designs for UFW buttons, posters,
cards and other promotional materials.

In October of 1973, the Pearcy’s moved with their family, (a new
member, Rebecca, was born in Tehachapi in March) to San Francisco
so that Glen could begin to edit his Academy Award nominated film,
“Fighting For Our Lives”which documented the 1973 grape strike.

Susan, now living in Maryland, is an established professional
artist whose work has been exhibited internationally and across the US.
She’s received numerous awards and grants for her art and in 2009 was
chosen as one of MD’s Top 100 Women.

Her art is held in prestigious museum collections including the
Pushkin Museum, Russia, the Chemalier Museum, France, and the
National Gallery of Art, the National Museum of Women in the Arts,
and the Corcoran Gallery in Washington, DC.
