Log book writen by clipper ship captain Frank Tilton aboard the clipper ship Fearless. The trip from Boston to Madras took from February through December. Tilton noted maintenance chores, sail changes, and the like. He also recorded some unusual events such as a blood red aurora and the killing of a pig on board, "it ain't every day we do such a thing."
