Trudie Richman-Wilder was born in Vienna in 1923 and managed to escape to the United States in 1938. She shares her memoir about her feelings when she was excluded from school after Nazis invaded Austria and when she had to leave her parents to flee from Vienna. An accomplished singer and guitarist who has recorded folksongs for the prestigious Smithsonian Folkways label, Richman also presents some Yiddish songs.
