Overall, given the prevalence of breast cancer within the United States and the declining death rates, modifiable lifestyle factors such as physical activit and weight are of significant importance in terms of disease recurrence and mortality, comorbid health conditions, and quality of life. The goal of the following study is to examine the interaction between physical activity, BMI, weight change, and the diagnosis of hypertension, and to additionally characterize the comorbid conditions that breast cancer patients face. Objectives: 1) examine the relationship between hypertension with physical activity and BMI prior to diagnosis. a) I hypothesized that breast cancer patients who were more physically active prior to diagnosis would be less likely to have hyptertension and would be more likely to have a lower BMI prior to diagnosis; 2) examine the relationship between percent weight change from time of diagnosis to one year following with physical activity prior to diagnosis. a) I hypothesized that breast cancer patients who had higher physical activity at baseline would have decreased weight gain. Exploratory aims: 1) explore the types and frequency of comorbid conditions breast cancer patients are being treated for
