The noon-day siesta, Mexico
Back
Inscription | 1915. Property of John Goodman The Noon-Day Siesta. If one has absolutely nothing to do, or suffers from the constitutional ailment of having been born tired, Mexico is the place for him to rest. There is nothing more pronounced than that of procrastination. One of the native customs is to doze for a couple of hours after lunch, and get busy as the sun nears the horizon. In this view is shown one of the common, everyday type of peon taking his siesta on a public thoroughfare. |
