Cammer, Michael; Bailly, Maryse (2021). CIL:35175, Rattus rattus, permanent cell line cell. In Cell Image Library. UC San Diego Library Digital Collections. Dataset. https://doi.org/10.6075/J0F47N28
- Description
-
Overexpression of and arp3-GFP fusion protein in MTLn3 cells, a metastatic rat breast carcinoma line. This Z series sequence of cells in culture shows the protein throughout the cytoplasm and excluded from a few organelles and the nucleus.
This MTLn3 (rat mammary adenocarcinoma) cell line is advantageous for cancer studies because the cells grow easily in tissue culture, invade artificial 3D matrices, and form tumors in live animal models. - Creation Date
