In 1977, the tourist options had not been extensively developed. This meant, if one wanted to stay near the Falls, staying at the expensive Mosi oa Tunya Intercontinental Hotel, or in self-catering campgrounds that featured simple but comfortable rondavel style cabins. Donna Cancel is preparing lunch during a visit to the Falls.
