Maleteros: porters in front of map
- Collection
- Description
-
Mark Bradford's project involves an intervention into the pre-existing labor dynamic of porters (maleteros) who work along the narrow border strip linking Tijuana and San Diego. "Maleteros" aims to facilitate, and make visible, porter services that for over two decades have been offered informally, or at least without formal recognition, between various access points at the San Ysidro border crossing.
