Pollywog (first time Equator crosser) Hugh Bradner during an Equator Crossing the Line Ceremony, onboard the Dwyn Wen, 1963. Pollywog Bradner had to guide a large yellow onion, called a sphere, with his nose across the now sticky, gooey deck of the DWYN WEN.
