- Description
-
Cryo-fixed budding yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) cell imaged using X-ray microscopy. Xray transmission varies with tissue, allowing subcellular compartments to be differentiated. The image shows a cell in which compartments have been assigned colors according to their x-ray absorption properties.
