Jonathan Fifi’i was the Maasina Rule Head Chief for the Kwaio area, and later Kwaio's member of Parliament (see his published autobiography). ’Ausisile is the most common type of panpipes in eastern Kwaio, particularly behind Sinalagu. It is an octet. The clapping that accompanies at feasts makes it difficult to record, which is why Keesing comments on it.
