Mission Santa Barbara

Inscription | C60- Mission Santa Barbara. This "Queen of the Missions" is the center of the chain of twenty-one Missions in California. Founded in 1786 by Fathers Lasuen and Paterna, it was the first to be established after the death of Father Serra. It was seriously damaged in the earthquake of 1926, but has since been restored. |
