"Another picture of our house, with Nancy out hanging up the wash. She doesn't do the wash herself, our head servent does that, we only have six now. Two little boy dishwashers, two interpretors, one ceremonial axe weaver and wood chopper who also happens to be my brother, and the cook and clothes washer. On the right you see the rig we have for catching rain water, a canvas tarp which spills into a large plastic tarp, water collecting in a barrel at the far end. We still have to haul water though. 44gallons costs us 24cents." MSS187, Box 44, Folder 9.
