Unidentified scientist are shown here skeet shooting for some fun, on the research ship Argo during the Lusiad Expedition (1962-63). This expedition was an international effort to explore the Indian Ocean. On this expedition, the Scripps Institution of Oceanography research vessels Horizon and Argo sailed around the world to study the Indian Ocean, its currents and map its seafloor. Circa 1963.
