SK (Slag layer): Crushed slag layer beneath and southeast of floor and foundations -- SK (Metallurgical layer) -- Relatively large and irregular area made for leveling up the excavations after dismantling the wall. Mostly consists of crushed slag with some spots of more concentrated slag deposits mixed with ash and a large amount of charcoal. In addition, there are -- some spots of hard earth derived from furnace fragment materials.

This locus was the last in this area in which all tuyere pipe locations were recorded in GIS. Also, the total station was moved prior to beginning this locus.
