Drummers

Two drummers set the beat with a slit-drum. on east ambae, drums are without decoration, and are played while lying flat on the ground, most often at rank-taking ceremonies. the simple ambae slit-drums contrast with the decorated, vertical slit-gongs found on ambrym.
