Kidney stone disease (nephrolithiasis) places a major burden on the United States population and healthcare system due to rising incidence and cost of management 1, 2. With calls for increasing the quality of healthcare, while reigning in on expenditure, an aspect of medicine that cannot be overlooked is the "patient experience," or how medical care affects quality of life. While others have documented the significant discomfort of stents in post-operative patients 3-5, few have examined how ureteral stents affect quality of life. The goal of this study was to better characterize a patient's experience with ureteral stents, and furthermore, to learn how, if at all, ureteral stenting affects their treatment decisions in the future
