- Note
-
Dick Horton was a BSIP District Officer (including on Malaita in 1938) and later a famous "coastwatcher" during World War II. This was a serialized reading from his book The Happy Isles on Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation radio. This contains two episodes. It takes up about about 1/3 of side A, and the rest of the tape is blank. Keesing was interested in it for Horton's colonial-period Solomon Islands Pijin.
