Allen, Richard (2021). CIL:39337, Euplotes sp., cell by organism, eukaryotic cell, Eukaryotic Protist, Ciliated Protist. In Cell Image Library. UC San Diego Library Digital Collections. Dataset. https://doi.org/10.6075/J05M6510
- Description
-
At this level of the buccal cavity the opening into the cytopharynx is not seen. Pharyngeal vesicles accumulate at the ends of the cytopharyngeal lamellae and are present under the basal bodies of the membranelles. The alveolar sacs are still present at this level. TEM taken on 7/29/67 by R. Allen with Philips 200 operating at 60kV. Neg. 9,000X. The raw negative was scanned with an Epson Perfection V750 Pro and this high resolution image is best used for quantitative analysis.
