The shallow cañon, about thirty feet below the general level of the Uplands, containing the Janiela' spring. Grass, cottonwoods, and willows grow in the floor of the cañon. The large pond is the source of the irrigation water. Domestic water is obtained from the small spring (said to be the true Janiela') covered with white sticks in the lower right of the picture.
