Real photographic postcards showing five young African Americans at the beach, circa 1914. The same three young women and two men shown in different groupings, either sitting in the sand or standing in the shallows. All in period bathing suits, with an ornate capital letter "K" in the center of the top of the men's suits, and on the upper right chest of the women's suits. Verso of three of the cards has standard postcard pre-printed information, and the notation "Mar. 15, 1914, Prob. San Diego." written in pencil is on all four cards
