Compact Mud (Floor) Mixed with Ash and Slag -- Locus represents the remains of the floor in the northeastern probe in the courtyard. -- Locus is a series of thin layers composed of ash, mud, slag mixed with sand. Slag is glassy and highly burned fill mixed with charcoal. Within the slag layers are fragments of tuyere pipes and furnace.

A conical shaped feature lined with small paving stones. Possibly a storage jar 'holder' sunk into the floor. 2 pestles, radiocarbon 14, dimpled hammerstone, worked stone, hematite, unknown metal ceramic

Locus defined by Wall 1505 in the north, L. 1574 and Wall 1536 in the east and L. 1557 in the west.
