Auld on arrival of 250 "pronunciados" in the mine area, with various other forces expected; three persons ("reos") removed by force from local presidio. Letters from Auld on machinery and other supplies held up in transit by government order; General Echeagaray is mentioned. Employment reference for John Noble, pitman, Tlalpujahua mining company. Notice on "numerous complaints of drunkenness and quarrelsome disorderly behaviour amongst the Englishment employed by this Company."
