Locus 47, Area A, Area Stratum III, WALL

WA (Wall) -- Wall. Southern wall of NW chamber of gateway complex. -- Wall:- S limit in NW chamber -- L:1.45, W:1.45, H:2.9, 17 courses. Wall composed of two built faces and haphazard fill of stones and sediment. Faces built of shale of varying sizes, some -- Original stage of utilization of the gate complex, defensive oriented structure, later to serve local small scale copper production activities.

E-corner with W45, W-corner with W35, N-NW chamber gateway complex, S-entrance corridor gateway complex.

Locus contemporary: W7, 8, 38, 33, 32, 35, 45, 46

Wall left as exposed, therefore no access to possible sealed finds from within or below.

Area stratum III

Wall partly collapsed in final destruction event of the gate complex. -- roughly cut. Possible solidifying clay matter between the stones. No foundation trench, probable pre-construction excavation and sedimenrt bed laying instead.
