Christina Fernandez's inSITE97 project, "Arrivals and Departres/Llegadas y salidas," consisted of two installations, one on each side of the border. Installed at the San Ysidro Bus Station in San Diego and Colonia Libertad, Tijuana, the works functioned as information and visitor centers for people passing through the space. Displaying information on historical migration patterns that have taken place over the border, the installation challenged the notion of legality as applied to immigration. --inSITE97
