The EarthCube Office developed and delivered a pilot offering of the Metadata for Machines (M4M) workshop in September, 2022. Piloting the M4M approach to improve FAIR data resources built on the ECO FAIR initiative, offering a new activity to promote FAIR implementation in the Earth and geosciences. This report describes the planning, delivery, outcomes, and recommendations for use of the M4M approach in the U.S.
